Three hundred Art of Living devotees will accompaned Sri Sri on his this tour aimed at reviving ancient Indian value systems and traditions.
The universe and our body are made up of five elements (tatvas) – Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Ether -which are called Pancha Maha Bhoothas. In the Indian culture and tradition, temples epitomise these Pancha Maha Bhoothas, besides being centres of learning, knowledge and culture which enrich value systems and samskaras. The temples of Kancheepuram, Kalahasthi, Thiruvannamalai, Chidambaram and Trichy represent each one of these five elements which form the basis of existence. Along the way, Sri Sri visited several other well known temples.

Teams of volunteers will soon be reaching the worst-affected districts of Arariya, Madhyapura, Supoul. Apart from ensuring emergencies supplies, the Art of Living will also conduct trauma relief workshops in partnership with UNICEF.

"I appeal to the Hindu community to refrain from reacting and taking any revenge and I appeal to the Christian community as well to adhere to the path of peace. Both the communities have to live together and have to work together for a progressive state," the guru said in message from Bangalore.

The Art of Living, in association with United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC), United Nations Environment program (UNEP) and Sri Sri Institute of Agriculture Science and technology has launched a massive initiative to encourage people to stand up and take action towards environmental sustainability. The initiative called the ‘Mission Green Earth’ envisages plantation of at least 100 million saplings across the world to help reduce global warming and protect the environment.

TAKING A serious view of the growing ecological imbalance and increasing glob- al warming, the Art of Living (AOL) Foundation has launched Mission Green Earth to encourage people to stand up and take action towards environmental sustainability.
